- DIRECTOR OF CORPORATE BUSINESS POLICY AND INTERNATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS, GENELUX CORPORATION
Ulrike Szalay joined Genelux as Director of Business Corporate Policy and International Communications in January, 2007. Having spent several years in international trade consulting, she specializes in international regulatory, business and government affairs, corporate policy, media relations and trade affairs. Prior to starting her own business, she handled international government relations for McDonald’s Corporation on a wide variety of trade and other policy matters directly affecting the company’s business interests. Ms. Szalay also has co-authored several health care and public opinion articles and a book during her tenure with Harvard University’s Public Opinion Project. She holds a Masters in Public Policy from Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. She has served as co-chair of the Women in Government Relations International Trade Task Force and a member of the Organization of Women in International Trade.

Dr. Kevin T. Murphy joined Genelux Corporation in 2008 as Chief Strategy Officer. Dr. Murphy is a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist on faculty at the University of California San Diego in the Department of Radiation Oncology in the Rebecca and John Moores NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center. After spending time in private practice, he was recruited to UCSD in 2005, initially serving as Medical Director in the Department of Radiation Oncology and more recently as Director of Strategy and Business Development and Chief of the Stereotactic Radiosurgery and Pediatric Oncology Programs. His clinical and research interests focus on novel radiation technologies and their application in the treatment of children and tumors of the central nervous system. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Dr. Murphy received his M.D. and residency training at the University of Chicago. During his final year in Chicago, his research focused on the integration of radiation therapy and viral gene therapy in the treatment of cancer. Dr. Murphy will divide his time between Genelux Corporation and UCSD.
