Dr. Joachim-Friedrich Kapp joined Genelux in 2005 as Chief Advisor of Corporate Strategies and Business Development. In 2007, he accepted the position of Director of Clinical Development, Oncology. He was elected to the Board of Directors in September 2006. Prior to his involvement with Genelux, Dr. Kapp worked for Schering AG, where he rose from a science director to President and Global Head of Therapeutics Business, before retiring in 2005. He has also worked in various capacities for Warner Lambert and its subsidiaries, including VP & Head of International Clinical Development. He holds an MD and a PhD from the University of Essen in Germany.

A widely-recognized surgeon and researcher, Dr. Fong is Chief of Gastric and Mixed Tumor Service and Murray F. Brennan Chair in Surgery at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, New York. He is also Professor of Surgery at Cornell University Medical College, where in 1984 he received his MD. He has authored over 250 peer-reviewed publications, reviews, textbooks, editorials and books chapters. He is a highly sought-after lecturer and holds several committee and editorial board memberships with national scientific societies and journals. Among other honors, Dr. Fong is the recipient of the 1996 Boyer Research Award from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, the 1999 James IV Surgical Traveler Award from the James IV Association of Surgeons, and the 2002 Shipley Award from the Southern Surgical Association. He joined the CAIB in early 2006.

Dr. Huber, a well-known expert in immunology, tumor biology and stem cell transplantation, joined the CAIB as Chief Advisor in Immunotherapy of Malignant Diseases in early 2006. He is a Professor of Medicine and Chair of the Department of Hematology and Oncology at Johannes Gutenberg Medical School at the University of Mainz in Germany. Dr. Huber holds an MD from the Leopold Franzens University in Innsbruck, Austria. After earning his degree, he held positions at the Karolinska Tumor Biology Institute in Sweden; the Wallenberg Laboratory in Sweden; the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Institute in Washington,
USA; and the Leopold Franzens University, where he was a research director. He has authored over 300 scientific articles and is a member of the editorial boards of several scientific journals. He also serves on the scientific advisory boards for several research consortia, such as the International Cancer-Immunotherapy Consortium (CIMT), pharmaceutical companies, regulatory agencies, and has chaired the German Somatic Gene Therapy Commission.

Dr. Albert Röder joined Genelux Corporation in 2004 after retiring from Roche Applied Science as Head of Global R&D and Marketing Support. In February of that year, he was elected to the Board of Directors of Genelux Corporation. His distinguished 33-year career in the pharmaceutical industry included several operative and leadership positions in research and development, manufacturing, marketing, strategy and business development within international cross-functional teams. Before joining Roche, he worked for Boehringer Mannheim Biochemical, where he rose to Head of Research in Enzymology/Proteinchemistry and Chemistry, then to Head of the Global Product Supply Unit. He holds a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Tübingen in Germany.

Dr. Philip Schein, President of The Schein Group, is widely recognized as a leading international authority in the treatment of cancer. He also serves as Visiting Professor in Cancer Pharmacology at the University of Oxford. He was the founder and former chairman and CEO of US Bioscience. His previous appointments include: Vice President of Worldwide Clinical Research and Development and Director of the Laboratory of Molecular Medicine at SmithKline & French Laboratories, Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology and Scientific Director of the Vincent T. Lombardi Cancer Research Center at Georgetown University School of Medicine and Senior Investigator and Head of the Clinical Pharmacology Section of the Medicine Branch, National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Schein has authored over 350 scientific articles and texts and has been awarded 11 patents. He was appointed to the National Cancer Advisory Board by President Clinton. He served as President of the American Society of Clinical Oncology and has chaired the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's Oncologic Drugs Advisory Committee. He has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the American Board of Internal Medicine, where he chaired the Medical Oncology Committee. Dr. Schein received his AB degree from Rutgers College and his MD from the Upstate Medical University. His post-graduate education was untaken at Harvard, Oxford and the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Schein is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of London and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow.

Dr. von Roemeling, a senior pharmaceutical industry leader, joined the CAIB in early 2006 as Regulatory Expert in Global Clinical Trials in Oncology and Product Approval. He is Vice President of Clinical Development Oncology at Daiichi Sankyo, Inc. Previously, he served as Vice President of Clinical Development and Global Medical Affairs at Schering AG/Berlex and also as International Head of Therapeutics (Area Oncology) for Boehringer-Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He has also held senior positions with Sterling Winthrop, Inc., Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, and Fresenius-Biotech, as well as professorships with several educational institutions. He has authored over 85 scientific papers or book chapters, more than 150 abstracts, and given over 50 invited lectures. He received his MD in 1975 from the University of Frankfurt School of Medicine in West Germany. Dr. von Roemeling is board-certified in internal medicine, medical oncology, and hematology.
